Ten years ago, I enrolled my alma mater Main Convent Ipoh and I got to know this person. We've been friends since then and really closed to each other. She was a great friend and I've been indebted to her kindness. 

And that person is none other than my best friend Zuliyana Zaini.

Ten years of friendship and still strong.

We might be far away from each other, but not a second goes by that I would think we are drifting apart. This bond that we share together makes me believe that distance can never separate a relationship.

Even though I never get to hang out with you every day, it does not matter. Because I know that friendship does not work that way. Friendship is more to being there through ups and downs. It is more to trust and happiness. Even if the distance is between us, it is not a problem to me at all as I know that friendship is always there. You will always be by my side throughout my life.

Distance creates a relationship to become stronger. 

I am very sure of it because you've proven to me before by helping me during my darkest era. 

I am so grateful because Allah has sent me this person to accompany me to become a better person. 

  

You know my friend, along the journey that we've been through together, I've seen the pain that you were going through sometimes. But boy, you were strong because you managed to handle your problems well enough.

In this life, not many people will return back your kindness. Not all will understand the action that you take and some might misunderstand at what you are doing.

Based on my observation, you have a soft-heart which is why people like to use it against you. However, dare not to fear my friend. You are what you are. And that is the best of you that people cannot take it from you. You are good at being you.

If people hurt you, let them be. It is not worth your while at all to think about people who do not even appreciate you. 

Your job is not to please people. 

These days you are busy and I know how much important your studies and all. But I believe that you'll get pass through it all. Just don't lose hope. Hope is always there. You, of all people would understand that by seeing how far you've come and all the achievements that you've made. 

I can't believe that we've been friends for almost ten years. I do hope that in many years to come, we'll have many more exciting adventures to go through together.

You always mention to me about not going to get married because you have never been in a relationship before. But to me, that is not a problem. There are so many people who fall in love after they get married. It is much more enjoyable and how lucky you are if you get to know your future spouse after you get married. 

There will be so many things to learn about him and it is going to be a wonderful journey as you are already in a halal relationship state. 

Maybe, you would be the one who is going to get married before me. Who knows right?

Marriage is not the only life goal that you have. Take a look around you. There are many things that you can do in this world. You have so much opportunities that you can grab to help those around you. Work some of your magic tricks and life will feel better. 

Know this my friend I will always support you in whatever you do. If lonely is the thing that you are afraid of, then stop thinking about it. You have your family. You have me. I will be with you through thick and thin. I won't leave you to fight the battle alone. That is what friends are for. 

Allah knows what is best for you. I am so sure that He has planned something great for you. It is just only a matter of time before you receive it. 

As for now, he wants you to strengthen yourself in and out to prepare for the best and worst in the years to come. Have faith and everything will be just fine.

I love you my friend. Happy 22nd birthday! Only Allah can repay all the remarkable things that you've done as a friend.

It's been like how many? Five years I guess? Almost five years we've been friends. Wow, can you imagine how time flies so fast! If I'm not mistaken, it only took us one year to create a special bond called friendship. And thank Allah it never dies even though we are far away from each other. Not only you, but our other friends as well.

Matric really did give me a handful of valuable and wonderful people in my life. I have never regretted that for a second. 

Not even once.

You are 22 now. 22 is some kind of a big number even though I know you think it is still far away from old. Yes, I know. I understand that too well.. always denying the truth that I'm getting older.

But at some point in your life, there will be a time when you think that life is not enough. That you will try so hard but still something is not right. You try to fill the void but it is just not working. You try to give more to others in exchange for earning a little bit of love but they keep hurting you. 

When you feel that way my friend, just remember that the One is there. He will fill the emptiness in your life. He will make you satisfied with what you have. 

You are a wonderful friend. A beautiful heart like you is really hard to find these days. Try to ask other friends and I am very sure that they would say that spending time with you can be a memorable one. They love hanging out with you. You have this aura that will make people feel comfortable being around you. 

And see what it did to us. That aura brought us to where we are now. I am looking forward to more exciting adventure in the future.

I do hope that there will be a day where we will travel around the world together with our other friends. However, I do not know whether if that day will come.

Like Farah said, we are busy with our life now. Imagine in the next few years, when we are married, it will be much more difficult to find some time to spend together. 

It's kind of sad you know to think about the future. I really love hanging out with you guys. When we are hanging out together, there will always a peaceful joy that will lift up my spirit to feel happy. 

Do you remember the last time when we tried to unlock the big steel padlock of Farah's house in the middle of the night? The one that made us gulping while drinking afterward like we were actually exhausted from trying to unlock it? That was the moment I genuinely laugh after so long. I did not laugh like that in my university. 

So what I'm trying to say is that we do not know what the future would hold for us. You of all people might understand right? Your birthday, 6th October 2015, was a day where your friend had fallen sick due to Leptospirosis. 

Therefore, we might not know whether we could laugh again in the future. In one day, everything can happen. 

In just one day, people can change.

In just one day, we can lost everything that we own. 

Which is why you need to hold on to Allah. He will take care of you no matter what you do and where you are. You will be safe with Him. He will guard you with some sense of security that you've never felt before. Sometimes, He is going to put you in hard games not to let you fall but to keep you stronger for the challenges ahead of you. 

And if you're in that toughest battle, know that I will always be by your side to fight whatever is against you.

When I think of raya, I cannot stop thinking about the arrival of holidays. My goodness you should look at my face when holidays just popped into my mind. 

That lingering idiotic smile. 

I just love holidays. 

But, this year I don't know why raya is a little bit gloomy. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the way I do?

Every house that I visited during raya was not really in a festive mood. Gst effect I presume? 

Almost 3 years I have been living in this damn society which is full of unnecessary condemnation. 

University is supposed to be a fun life with entertaining experiences and also peers who help one another in trying to be a better human being for the sake of future. 

But no, it does not work that way as I stepped into my university life.
Real life is different from what I think. Minor condemnation exist during university. 

It is not what I have bargained for but hey, the good thing is I have learned a lot. 

I have been living in a world where most of the people condemning things that are not worth while.

Everything that you do will be judged and criticized.

You do all the right things everytime. But once you make a silly mistake, people will be fast enough to condemn the wrong things that you do. 

It's like they are waiting for the perfect time to degrade you.

The most disappointing thing that I have observed from people around me and their experiences is it comes from their so called bestfriends. Claiming to be bestfriends, but backbiting behind their back? 

Such a major let down. 

When your friends make mistakes, you should ask them whether it is true and if it is, listen to them first the reason they are doing it.

Telling them what is right and what is wrong. Not put a label on them and back biting them behind their back. 

Other than that, people are so expert and so quick to point out the wrongs of others. 

For example, it's based on one of my friends experience. She was always hanging out with her male bestfriends. She's not religious enough but she knew the rules when being with male friends like cannot touch each other and all. She practiced the principle. The thing is, people were quick enough to jump into conclusion that she's playing around with them. Condemned her from afar without really knew the truth.

It is not always mean that when one is hanging out with their opposite gender friends, they are together. 

I also had an experience where people quick to judge me as gay just because they condemned my action of pushing away boys and ignoring having love relationship. 

Duhh I want a HUSBAND not someone who just wanted me for fun. 

And in fact, I have tooooooo many flaws. I'm still in the process of preparing myself to be a wife and mother. I'm still far from being ready. 

You could have think about that excuse but you were quick to say that I am gay? Haha

Be surprised when I get married with a MAN before you do. Aha!

Talking about gay people. Just because they are gay, society think that they are bad and the lowest human being ever.

But from what I have seen, apart from being gay, they are much more kind hearted than we are. They
are more loyal than we are. The only wrong thing is that they are gay.

It's not that I support LGBT. 

But we should do the correct way. 

Our Prophet Muhammad pbuh, advice people with love, kindness and wise words. 

So pray that one day Allah will open their heart and give them hidayah to change and make amend of their wrongdoing. Who knows that when they have changed, they might be ten times better than us?  

Hope is always there for them to change. (Oh by the way, you should read Naruto who never tried to give up on his hope and believe that his friend will change. Inspiring, to me la haha)

With only condemning other people, you can ruin other people's life because you spread the rumours without knowing the truth. 

Why mind other people's business? You are not that great too. 

We, human, have a lof of scarcity. We think that we have done more than enough to be classified as the right action and kind but do we really think that?

Have you ever thought that Allah might not think so?
 Because He, the Most All-Knowing knows what is inside of our heart. He knows whether we are sincere or the other way round.

Who are we to condemn other human being when we have too many flaws?

Just try to fix ourselves first and help each other in trying to be a better person.

It's not that we cannot condemn at all. 

We can condemn but find concrete evidence and also do it in a right way with a right purpose. For example, when Tun Dr M condemned the Jews for their inhuman act. 

Do it because it helps people.

Not because you are simply trying to find fault in others and enjoying watching other people's life falling apart.
